Ed McCann announced as Fellow of the RAEng

Date: 01/10/25

This year's Fellowship continues to reflect the RAEng’s commitment to excellence across every engineering discipline.

On 24 September, the Royal Academy of Engineering’s (RAEng) elected 74 new Fellows to their community – a remarkable cohort of engineers and innovators who will help tackle some of the world’s biggest challenges.

As the Academy approaches its 50th anniversary, this year’s Fellowship continues to reflect their commitment to excellence across every engineering discipline, from energy and defense to new materials and emerging technologies. This cohort joins around 1,700 talented engineers whose knowledge and experience position them uniquely to advance engineering solutions globally.

We are particularly pleased to see the Academy’s ongoing ‘Fellowship Fit for the Future’ initiative, driving increased representation from underrepresented groups and ensuring the Fellowship reflects the full breadth of engineering talent.

At the Useful Simple Trust and Expedition Engineering, we have had the privilege of a longstanding relationship with the RAEng, collaborating on initiatives that promote engineering excellence and innovation. We are delighted that our Senior Director, Ed McCann, has been recognised among this distinguished group of Fellows.
